Changes again...

Okay, okay...I know. I changed it again, but there is a good reason for it!! It hurt my eyes to look at that pink background. My lens in my glasses fell out the other day and ever since I have been having problems adjusting to things, and the pink was not helping. So that is the reason for a color change again.

Things have been so, so busy for the past two weeks. I am ready for it to slow down again, but with my and Michelle's graduation coming up that is probably not going to happen until that is over with. I am so excited about graduation, yesterday we went and got the invitations and two autograph posters for people to sign at the get together that we are having. We aren't having a ceremony, we are having a "Graduation Celebration" and that is when we will be handed our deploma's. Our next big thing to do for the graduation is our graduation pictures. We have yet to get that scheduled. Wow.....we have a lot left to do, get the decorations...pictures......get the invitations done and sent out (we are making them ourselves)....and, umm....I think that is it. These things take a lot more work than I thought they would take!!! :)

Well....I guess I'd better get off of here and get to practicing my piano, I have a lot to do before my next lesson!! Like learn how to use that dumb pedal!! That thing is a pain, did you know that??? Hehe! Oh well....Toodles!

We're Home!!

We arrived home Saturday at about 9:30 pm. It was a very long and tiresome trip! I am so glad to be home. Everything went really well with the funeral, all the family did really, really well. I want to say thanks to all that prayed for us while we traveled!
One thing I got really excited about while we were traveling in Ohio was that on the side of the interstate there are all kinds of farms and such. I got to see a few Amish farms as we passed them. I enjoyed getting to see those. Other than that it was a really boring trip to take! :)
We had a good time getting to meet all kinds of family and spending time with them. I would have gotten a huge family picture taken, but we have such a big family that it was really hard to get people together to do it. So I will post some later that I did take of family. Once again, thanks for the prayers!!!

Another gone to glory....

We got word that my Great-Grandmother passed away in her sleep yesterday morning. She was saved, and is probably shouting it out with her son (My Grandpa) that died in Vietnam!! What a glad reunion that must have been. Pray for us as we travel to the funeral in Ohio!! It's a lllooooonnnnggggg drive!!

We are also in revival this week with Bro. Darrell Hayes, we hate to have to miss that, but under the circumstances, ya know. Pray that it goes well. I won't be able to post till about Saturday I think. Please pray for safe travels!! Thanks to all of you!

When spring came...

I wanted PINK! I am not very much of a pink person, but for some reason it was all I wanted when spring hit. So I finally took the time to change everything.
What does everyone think??

God has been so good to me!!

When I went to read the most recent post on The Good Report there was a song playing. It was the song "God has been so good to me" and it got me to thinking on how good God really has been to me! Her gave me a great family, a great church, He saved me, and so much more! God has been ever better to me here lately. I am just so glad that I have a God in heaven that just likes to spoil me!!! LOL

I wanted to update on the piano situation. I told y'all awhile ago that someone was paying for my lessons. Well...after the second lesson I went to pay her for it, and she told me that she did not want me to pay for the lessons! She said that since I had such a desire to learn to play and that I would be using it in the church that she did not want me to pay her for the lessons. Isn't God just great!! I know that Momma(Julie's Jewels) posted about it when it happend, but I thought that I needed to share that. God is just so good to me!!!

God's beautiful creation.

Isaiah 41:20 That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together,that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Isn't it awesome just to know that we know the God that created all the beauties of the earth? Isn't it awesome to know that He is our God? Isn't it awesome to know that that same God is the one that watches over us everyday and sees to it that our needs are filled? We just serve an AWESOME God!!!I was out again yesterday taking pictures of the clouds and I will post them later, but as I watched them I was literally in awe of how beautiful they were when the sun is setting. I am so thankful that God created beautiful things for us to just look at and tell Him how beautiful they are and how wonderful He is!!

I know that post was really nothing, but I just wanted to share with you the blessing that I got from watching the clouds. Hope it cheered someone up. And I also know that I have been MIA on my blogger, but I have been so busy that I have not been able to post on here as much as I would like to. I will try to do better though!! I promise that I will try!!!
Sincerely, The neglective blogger. (LOL)

"Tuesday's Quotes"

Hey Everyone, sorry I missed doing last weeks quotes. I was not able to get on the computer. But I have done today's!! Here they are.....This week is.....drum roll please...dadadadadadadadadadadadada....R.A. Torrey.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"The reason why many fail in battle is because they wait until the hour of battle. The reason why others succeed is because they have gained their victory on their knees long before the battle came...Anticipate your battles; fight them on your knees before temptation comes, and you will always have victory.”
"Out of a very intimate acquaintance with D. L. Moody, I wish to testify that he was a far greater pray-er than he was preacher. Time and time again, he was confronted by obstacles that seemed insurmountable, but he always knew the way to overcome all difficulties. He knew the way to bring to pass anything that needed to be brought to pass. He knew and believed in the deepest depths of his soul that nothing was too hard for the Lord, and that prayer could do anything that God could do. "
"Oh, men and women, pray through; pray through! Do not just begin to pray and pray a little while and throw up your hands and quit; but pray and pray and pray until God bends the heavens and comes down."
"Triumphant prayer is almost impossible where there is neglect of the study of the Word of God."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I had wanted to put a paper on here that I did for school on D.L. Moody, but I will have to wait until I have the time to type part of it. I am going to have to do it in parts, it is WAY to long to put on all at one time. So I will figure out what days I will do that until I have finished putting it on here.

"Tuesday's Quotes"

This weeks quotes are taken from Matthew Henry. Enjoy!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Some people do not like to hear much of repentance; but I think it is so necessary that if I should die in the pulpit, I would desire to die preaching repentance, and if out of the pulpit I would desire to die practicing it.”
"The joy of the Lord will arm us against the assaults of our spiritual enemies and put our mouths out of taste for those pleasures with which the tempter baits his hooks."
"He whose head is in heaven need not fear to put his feet into the grave."
"You have been used to take notice of the sayings of dying men. This is mine: that a life spent in the service of God, and communion with Him, is the most comfortable and pleasant life that anyone can live in this world."
"When I cannot enjoy the faith of assurance, I live by the faith of adherence.""Grace is the free, undeserved goodness and favor of God to mankind."
Our Little Visitor
This is a little visitor we had the other day. Cute isn't he? Actually I don't know if it is a he or a she...so we will just call it a he!! LOL Karlee was the first to see this little critter and it scared the poor little girl to death! It was so funny though!!! :) Michelle would tell her touch it and Karlee would just say "I touch it, I touch it!" but she would not come within 5 feet of it. Oh well, I guess we don't have the dare-devil little girl that we thought we had!
I thought that we would give our little buddy a name, but I can't come up with one...so I need to enlist some help. Any suggestions?
"Tuesday's Quotes"
Okay now that I have the chance to do this.....LOL Today's theme is Charles Spurgeon. Hope you enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"If we cannot believe God when circumstances seem be against us, we do not believe Him at all."

"When you have no helpers, see your helpers in God. When you have many helpers, see God in all your helpers. When you have nothing but God, see all in God. When you have everything, see God in everything. Under all conditions, stay thy heart only on the Lord."

"If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for."

"We may be certain that whatever God has made prominent in His Word, He intended to be conspicuous in our lives."

"Without Christ there is no hope."

"Pride may be set down as "the sin" of human nature."

"Christian, remember the goodness of God in the frost of adversity."

"You are saved--seek to be like your Savior."

"By perseverance the snail reached the ark."

"Free grace can go into the gutter, and bring up a jewel!"

"When the time comes for you to die, you need not be afraid, because death cannot separate you from God's love."

"You never hear Jesus say in Pilate's judgement hall one word that would let you imagine that He was sorry that He had undertaken so costly a sacrifice for us. When His hands are pierced, when He is parched with fever, His tongue dried up like a shard of pottery, when His whole body is dissolved into the dust of death, you never hear a groan or a shriek that looks like Jesus is going back on His commitment."

"Go forth today, by the help of God's Spirit, vowing and declaring that in life----come poverty, come wealth, in death---come pain or come what may, you are and ever must be the Lord's. For this is written on your heart, 'We love Him because He first loved us."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I know those were a blessing to me! I hope they were to you! I have an answered prayer that I would like to share with y'all. I have had a desire in my heart to play the piano for years now. We have just never had the money to do so. I have been praying that if it be God's will that I learn to play that He would provide the means to do so. Well...........Sunday, before the afternoon service my dad walked up to me with an envelope, I took it. When I saw what it said on the front I almost started crying!! Here is what it said "Sis. Kristina, For: Piano Lessons." There was enough money in there for one lesson!! I am so excited that I can't hardly stand it!!!! God is so good, and I am so glad that He answers prayer!!!!
Thinking about my Grandpa...
I have been thinking a lot here lately about my Grandfather that died in the Vietnam War. Jessica (my brother's fiance) gave me something with the Wall on it and it set me to thinking. I was thinking of how proud he would be that his son is preaching the gospel. How proud he would be that he has three grandchildren. How proud he would be that Ronnie is marrying a good godly girl. Those are the things that I have been thinking on. Even though I never knew him, I love him and miss him lots!!
I have an uncle over in Iraq right now, and we all miss him lots. We pray for him daily that he would be safe while there and have a safe return. Please pray for him, he is lost. Pray that God would put someone in his path that would be a godly influence and witness to him. Chris knows that he is lost, he has told us that. Please, please pray for him. He will be in Iraq for anywhere from 6 months to a year. Thanks!
I also want to say thanks to all the men and women in the military that have fought to keep our freedom and give freedom to people in other countries. Thanks to all of you!!!
