Hot Water Heater Disaster.

Well...it all started when we came home from church last night. When we entered our driveway we saw water everywhere. Of course that brought out the question of " Where is that coming from?". We discovered when we walked into the house that the hot water heaters valve had been broke off. Of whole downstairs was about 4 tpo 5 inches under water. A lot of my brothers stuff got ruined. When our landlord came over to see what had happened........he discovered that the valve cover had been chewed off by my mom's dog Addie. There was Michelle, my mom, our landlord and I standing a different spots with brooms sweeping out the water that just kept coming back into the house. Then about 1 1/2 later our landlord remembers...OH YEAH..I have a shopvac at the house let me go and get it! While he went to get the shopvac we still kept sweeping in hopes that the water would stay out. Needless to say that did not work. After our landlord returned with the vac..my mom got to work on getting all the water up. As soon as I got up this morning I went to work with my mom on tackling Ronnie's room. That it self was a very hard and long job. Ronnie's room is in the basement, so when we got to work moving stuff to finish cleaning we discovered that my brother was living with spiders, scorpions, millipedes and a baby snake!!!! I was having a fit when I saw all the things that we found. Thankfully they all drowned in the water!!!! That was how our day yesterday and some of today went. It is all fixed now. :) Well....How is everyone else today? The weather is really cold here. I am about to freeze! Let us know what it's like where you are at!!

Peanut Butter Cookies

Hey Everyone, how is everybody doing? We had a good service last night. My Dad has been doing a study on Wednesday nights in 1 Corinthians, they have been good. Today I have been doing a study that I am working on about JW's. It is really interresting. I have also been babysitting and I made some homemade peanut butter cookies. They are really good. Here is the recipe.
Peanut Butter Cookies
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Peanut Butter
1 egg
Turn the oven on to 350*
Take a spoonful of the dough and roll it in your hands and form it into a ball.
Once you have done that place it on the pan and take a fork and press down on it so that it make a fluffy and flat cookie.
Makes about 1 dozen and a half.

Redneck Or Hillbilly??

Would you consider going out in your front yard using a kitchen knife and plyers to cut down a rather large bush redneck or hillbilly?? This is what my mother and I were just doing! It was one of those really prickly bushes. The one with those leaves that have like 5 little pricks on them. I have a lot of itty-bitty dots on my hands and arms. Just so you all know, we did not have the proper tools for the job so we made due with what we had on hand!!! And a kitchen knife seemed to be the pick!! Please give me your opinion, I am not sure which one we are!
Signed,
The REDNECK or The HILLBILLY

Gonna be busy!!!

I just wanted to let everybody know that on Friday I will not be able to do a post. It all starts at 7:00 am. We have to go and get Karlee, meet Robbyn at 9:00 to take Michelle to her and pick up J and Aaron, come home and get ready to leave at 10:30 for my orthodontist appointment, come home get lunches ready, go grocery shopping ( maybe ), come home get dinner, take Karlee back to her mother, meet Robbyn again to pick up Michelle and take her boys back to her and then we finally get to come home and stay home!! So needless to say, Friday is gonna be busy!!!! As far as today goes....I am feeling at bit nauseated. I think that I may have caught what is going around our church at the moment. So please pray that I will get to feeling better as today goes on. I would really hate to miss church tonight!! So...how is everybody else?

The Days Happenings

Well...today has been somewhat uneventful!! There is the usual watching of Karlee and cooking and picking things up. I have also been reading a book. It is a series by Janette Oke. They are really good books. There is a total of 6 and I am on the 4th one. It is about a girl in her late teens going to teach at a backwoods school house. While there she marries and her husband is in law enforcement, which takes him from place to place every 3 to 4 years. She finds it very hard to live the way the people around her do. She and her husband are among Indians at all times. It takes her quite a while to learn the Indian dialect in which they use. In the mean time she finds many hardships and longs for a child and her family back east. She has to keep her faith in God and remember that He is always there for her when she needs Him the most. She and her husband are more like missionaries in the areas in which they serve. I have found this book to help me understand just a bit of what a missionary goes through and makes we want to pray for them even the more. If anyone is interrested in these books you can go to www.janetteoke.com and look for the books in " The Canadian West Series"

A Good Revival.

The revival that we had last week was really good. There was no one saved, but a lot of people got a lot of help. The revival kept me from being able to put anything on here for being so busy. We had Bro. Bobby Barnes preach for us. Pray for his wife Sis. Patty, she has a lot of health issues and was not able to travel with him to our meeting. She hated not being there and we hated that she was not able to make it. What was everyones week like?? I hope it was a good for everyone!!!
