I'm not DEAD!

Well...I know that all of you have been DYING to hear from me so...here I am! We still don't have internet, and we found out today that it's not available where we live. So, we might have to keep making these once a month trips to a place with wi-fi. We have been doing wonderful, both loving the married life. God has been really blessing! I will be posting some pictures of the inside the house in the next post. Adjusting to a new house and a new area is well...fun! I have most of everything unpacked and I've really just been keeping up with the cleaning, cookin' and taking care of the hubby........

As you can see, we are VERY happy! God has just been SO good!!! I never knew that life could be so good!!!

Busy, busy, busy!

Okay...so I know it's been a while since I have posted anything, I never knew that getting ready for a wedding was SO time consuming! Wow! It's been soooo busy, I really don't even know where to start! =o) Thankfully we're gonna be done with all the getting ready and all the planning in just 11 short days...well almost 10! It's hard to believe that the time has gone by so quickly and that in just 10 days I will be married to the most wonderful man in all the world. God sure has been good!!! This will probably be my last post until after the wedding. I will get back on here and post as soon as I find the time. I hope to get pictures of the inside of the house posted once I'm able to get it all unpacked after we get back from the honeymoon. Well...I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July!!! Memorial Day and Pictures

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!
I wanted to take this time to thank all of you who have served, do serve, and will serve to preserve our country's freedom!

I will be spending my memorial day with Josh and my soon-to-be In-laws. Both my parents have to work and will be pretty much all day...so to save me from being by myself all day my wonderful Husband-to-be said they could come pick me up and spend the day with me!

Yesterday was the first opportunity for me to get pictures of mine and Josh's house. These are just of the outside, the inside is still being worked on. I will post inside pictures when it's all finished.

The water is REALLY murky and yellow from all the rain and pollen, but if you can see them there are two catfish at the surface of the water.

A New Look For Josh

Josh: I've got a surprise for you.

Me: A surprise...tell me!!!

Josh: No, I won't tell but you can guess.

Me: Give me a hint.

Josh: It's something different about me.

Me: YOU SHAVED YOUR GOATEE OFF!!!

Josh: Yes, I knicked it while I was trimming it, and it was either leave it looking goofy or shave it off. So I shaved it off.

Me: I can't WAIT to see it!

Josh and I had talked about his facial hair before and whether I liked it or not. I told him that I did, but I would like to see what he would look like without it, but I told him that he could keep it because I like his goatee. Well....now that I have seen him without his goatee. =o) Josh asked me which one I preferred. I told him that I liked the "no-goatee" better, but that he could still make his own choice as to which one he wanted because after all....it's his face! He said he is going to stay "goatee free" until winter time. So, Hello Winter means Hello Goatee!! LOL

My Colors...No date yet...House Update!

I have changed the colors for my wedding about 3 or 4 different times. Am I the only one that did that??? Well...it was first teal and brown, then it was turquoise and brown...well...then I went to Michaels to see what they would have as far as flowers go because I wanted turquoise colored silk Gerbera daisies...they didn't have any. As I looked at their choice of colors for their daisies I then made the decision to change my colors when I saw the flowers in the picture. I fell in love with both the colors and the flowers! So it's official and Lord willing it will not change...these are my colors for the wedding. All the bright summery shade of orange, yellow, blue, pink, and green. Each bridesmaid will wear a different color dress and the groomsmen will wear a tie to match the bridesmaid they are paired with.

I'm getting SO excited now that I am actually starting to plan things. I think Momma is started to get somewhat nervous. We still haven't set a date yet because we are still waiting on some things with the house. (I will update you on that in a minute) Lord willing we want to be married by fall. We are praying that a specific date will work out, it's a very special date for the both of us...we are hoping for July 11th. We were both saved on July 11th, just 10 years apart! So we thought that since July 11th is on a Saturday this year, and it is a special day in both our lives that it would be so neat to get married on the day that we both got saved. So just help us pray that if that be the Lord's will, He will work it out.

We put a contract in on that house I had asked you to help us pray about a few weeks ago. We are waiting on a closing date to be set. The deadline to close on is March 9th, and if we don't close by then it will be $50 for every day we don't close. So please help us pray about that as well.

Oh yeah, I also did TONS of research on the internet and found a very modest and very beautiful dress for $134.99 and what this company does is you send them your measurements and they make the dress to your size, and they will send it to you with no shipping costs. The same dress was being sold on another site for $600.00! So, Lord willing I will be ordering my dress soon...hopefully!

We thoroughly enjoyed our first valentines day together! We went to his church's valentine banquet with his parents and had a blast! I wish I would have been able to get some pictures of it, but the lighting in the room we were in was not right and the picture didn't turn out right...but anyways! Hehehe We had a WONDERFUL 1st Valentines Day!!!
