Nausea Anyone?

This pregnancy has been SO much different than my pregnancy with Kloe. I was only sick last pregnancy due to the prenatal vitamins that I was taking, so this time I start out taking the Flintstones vitamins...and I am 10x more sick than I have ever been! I still haven't gotten sick by definition of the word, but I have severe nausea which I think tends to do more harm to me than getting sick would.

Josh has been absolutely wonderful through this rough first part of my pregnancy. He is more than understanding and more than willing to help me out whenever I need him. I honestly have no idea what I would have done without such an awesome husband!!! God knew I would need him!

Back to the nausea...the weird thing about it is that I can eat what I want when I want it. I am just sick when I'm not eating. LOL Lord knows I don't need to eat all day long. Josh had gotten me some fun size KitKat candy bars and they worked wonderfully as a snack whenever I felt like I needed to eat something small. But I have since run out and am sooo needing more! :o)

Kloe is growing so much and is on the verge of crawling. She also has had her first tooth cut through her gums. My baby is growing up so quickly!

My 2nd pregnancy was totally different that my first. #1 was no trouble at all, and he was a great baby. #2 was trouble from 4 months on. And she was a baby who wanted her way.

Eat lots of small meals, drink lots of water or what ever tastes good, and let your body lead you.

Good luck.

Skittles and Lemon Heads worked for some reason when I was first pregnant with my second son, and queasy all day. Good luck!

Perhaps the difference in the diet means you're having a boy this time!

I agree with amulbunny, let your body lead you and don't worry at this point about gaining weight--just about getting through the nausea. It's awful, but a good sign of a healthy pregnancy. I've never gotten past the nausea stage, but super cold ginger ale, popsicles (I think because they maintained my blood sugar without something solid in my stomach), and lemon drops always helped me.

I'm glad Joshua is there for you, I don't know how you tough it out with one about to crawl and another making you feel so ill--what a team you make! May the Lord be with you--all FOUR of you!

Sorry to hear about your nausea. I've heard that B vitamins can help with that.

I recommend The Natural Pregnancy Book by Aviva Jill Romm. Has excellent info on nausea, nutrition to prevent such and more than information than I can begin to list. It was invaluable to me during my pregnancies. Congratulations again!
