We're Having A Baby!

I started to have contractions at 10:00 p.m. last night and had them for 2 hours before calling my dr. She told me to come on in. I had some strong contractions but then they slowed down. They had me walk the halls for an hour to try and get things going, but that made little to no progress...so...they have started me on pitocin and we should be progressing. They have talked breaking my water here soon. I will post again when we have a baby! Pray for us!

Congratulations on your beautiful big baby girl. I wish you the grandest adventure of your life. I hope your labor wasn't too bad and that you will recover swiftly.

God Bless.

Those interventions (pitocin, breaking of the waters) usually lead to a c-section. I hope that isn't the case this time. Labor slowing down is not a reason for interventions. It is to you and your baby's benefit that you research labor and birth. In reality, most doctors know very little about pregnancy, labor, birth and breastfeeding. In their world labor and birth are systematic. Labor and birth cannot be systematized. God designed every woman differently. Labor ebbs and flows at its own pace. Consider having a doula or a midwife with you in the hospital. Good luck and I hope everyone is doing well.
