I'm still living!

I know it's almost been almost 2 months since my last post, I've been SO busy! Josh and I are doing great, I had some comments asking if we were okay. "Even in the valley God is good!"

I guess it was about 4 weeks ago that our house flooded due to a constantly running toilet. We call insurance and they sent a crew out and they did their drying and tearing out, then it took about a week to get the other crew in to paint and replace baseboards. Then another crew had to come in and do the carpet. We finally got our house back the day before Christmas Eve, they finished the carpet that day and boy were we glad of it! It took us probably a week to get everything put back to where it belonged due to Christmas with the family.

Christmas was great! We really enjoyed getting together with both sides of the family.

New Years was great as well, we spent that with my parents just chatting and watching football, then we got together with my in-laws on the 2nd and spent the evening with them watching movies.

Last year was both a great year because I married the love of my life, and a horrible year due to all that had taken place with the murder of my uncle. Josh and I have had hard time financially here lately due to him being laid off for 5 weeks, there were times that I thought that maybe God had forgotten about us, but just when I would start to think that way God would show up and remind us that He still loved us and that He was going to take care of us. God has been good and He WILL continue to be good no matter what may come our way!

Amen! God is so good. With us being on deputation, my husband's job situation was not good. He was out of work for 11 months. He was able to work for Fedex in December. I had even started to look for a job, but God did not want me out of our home working. No matter what we faced, God provided every need we had.

I'm sorry to hear about the flooding problem. Glad to hear everything is back together. YAY! You have some new paint and flooring.

PRAISE THE LORD, YOU'RE BACK!!
I am new to this blogging thing, and i just have to tell you, people like you are the reason i started my own blog. And you've been MIA for a few months so i was like - LORD, NOW WHAT?
HAHA!
I just thank you for being bold enough to stand for God on the internet like you do, even though you know many skeptics read your page. Your blogs have helped me MANY, MANY times and so i thank you for posting them. :)
I've been praying for you and your family so i'm glad to hear y'all are doing good. GOD IS GOOD, AIN'T HE???

Happy New Years, Kristina! Nice to see you back!

I was wondering---is Jessica still posting on her blog, and if so, is there some way that I could be allowed on it? I miss reading her posts! :)

Kristina, there will be many times through your marriage that you may feel God has forgotten about you. Just remember He has not!! He ALWAYS keeps His promises. And the good news is that you started your marriage with Him. He's with you whether you're feeling Him or not. :)

Love you!!

I love the Christmas picture of you and Josh - because the antlers on his head are very cute! They aren't actually on his head though, are they, but on the wall behind him?
Glad to know you're doing well, and that's terrible about the flood - thankfully you had insurance to help you out with it!

Kris,

How are you and Josh? Good to hear that you are still living? I just want to let you know that I tag you on my blog. You do not have to do the tag. Just want to let you know that you are an encouragement!

I've been lurking on your blog for a little while but I thought I would post this time. (c:

I just thought that I could offer you up a little encouragement on the job loss.

My husband was laid off in October of 2008 and has yet to find a job, since his line of work is in very low demand right now. But God has been SO very faithful and has provided more than we could possibly ever imagine.

Honestly, there have been times when I cried out to God wondering if He even remembered if we were still here, but then something would happen to where we were provided for (a bill paid, money for food. etc.) or even a Christian song on the radio would play reminding me of God's faithfulness, and to me, that was God's still small voice saying "I remember you".

I know we come was different walks of life in our faith, but we both serve the same sovereign God who loves us all and wants us to grow in Him, no matter the trials we face!

Keep looking up!

God Bless

What a beautiful picture of you and your beloved in front of the Christmas tree.

How great it is to find the love of your life, knowing that God has sent you one perfect person with whom to share your life.

It makes me to cry to think about others who spend their life dating and giving their heart to person after person instead of staying true to God's perfect plan. How have they any heart left to give when they find their One?
