Another Day at the Doctor!

I spent what seems like an entire day at doctors offices and the hospital. I had pain in my stomach the day before yesterday and all through the night and through the day yesterday, so Josh insisted that I go get it all checked out. So, to be the obedient wife that I need to be...I did.

The doctor checked me from head to toe and didn't find anything, did a pelvic exam and didn't find anything, so he told me of all the possibilities that it could be and then sent me to the hospital for blood work to check for infection to see if it could be my appendix messing with me. After I got the blood work done he sent me to an outpatient imaging center for get a pelvic ultrasound. He called with the result of the ultrasound and said that everything looked normal, there was some fluid on my right ovary and that it could be a cyst, then he later called back with my blood results and told me there was no sign of infection to be found...but that something was found in my blood work...

We're Going to Have a BABY!

I don't know yet how far along I am. I am assuming that I am only about a week and a half possibly 2 weeks. I go to the OB next Wednesday. So pray that everything will go smoothly with the pregnancy. We are so very excited!

Oh, I did find out that the pain that I was having is normal, it's just my body getting use to the changes that are taking place right now. I was very relieved to hear that!!!
The online pregnancy calculator says that I am due in September around my birthday!!!

What a bad way to find out such good news! Congratulations!!

I'm actually surprised the doctors didn't want to do a pregnancy test sooner - for a young, married, otherwise healthy woman, I'd think that would be one of the first things they'd consider.

Before I found out I was pregnant, I was having weird pains in my lower abdomen that felt like a strange kind of cramps. I was already late for my cycle though, so I figured I might be pregnant even though I was in denial because I didn't feel any of the "normal" pregnancy symptoms yet. Also, the first pregnancy test came out negative, so I was confused about it. The 2nd test (2 weeks later) came out positive though and 7 months later we had a baby boy!!

Congrats, btw! Being a mom makes me feel like I have even more of a purpose in life than before. It's an amazing feeling. :)

I'm so sad to see that you went deer hunting. Is it necessary to do such violent things to animals for sport? As a christian I vowed to God that I would eat the fruits of his Earth and help protect this green Earth he has given us, not kill his creations.

Blessings to you and your child to be!

If you are having pain enough to seek medical attention, that is not a normal part of pregnancy. If you are still having pain, you should get it checked out ASAP.

Nurse Bee-
Josh insisted that I go to the Dr. I wasn't really in much pain, it was just annoying. From what I've been told, annoying little pains are normal because it's my body getting use to the changes that are taking place.

Good to hear. I would suggest getting a copy of "What to expect When You Are Expecting" and having your husband read it too (otherwise you might end up at the doctor a lot!).

You might look into "The Natural Pregnancy Book" by Aviva Jill Romm. This helped me immensely during my last pregnancy. Has great info on nutritional needs, vitamins, excellent herbal teas, etc. Has different remedies for different minor pregnancy ailments. Lots of other info too.
