Josh asked me to go hunting with him and at first I just didn't like the idea of getting up at 5:30 on a Saturday morning to go sit in the woods and HOPE to SEE a deer...but the more Josh and his brother Jacob kept talking about it the more interested I got. So, needless to say...I went...and I LOVED it! I just loved sitting in the woods and listening to the sound of the breeze through the leaves, hearing the birds chirp and spending time with my husband. We didn't get a deer, but we heard several and saw a HUGE doe with two fawns. The fawns were old enough to be able to survive on their own, but by the time Josh got the gun ready the doe had taken off. But hey, at least I got to see some! Here are some pictures from the hunt!

I just found your blog and have enjoyed reading through it.

Love the pictures! I used to dislike hunting---a lot! But my daddy got me into a few years ago and now I go with him every year. Wait until you shoot your first deer- it is so exciting and a rush! Good luck next time and I am glad that you had fun!
did u wear a skirt huntin???
From all the photos it looks like you had a great time! My husband hunts too but I still have no desire to get up early like that. I have gone on afternoon hunts though. My daughter Samantha goes hunting though and got her first deer two years ago. By the way.....I love your outfit! I have never seen a camo skirt!
So glad you loved the hunting trip! I'm not so sure how good I would be trying to kill a dear. I can eat them all day, but I'm not so sure I could shoot them. That girl I am would come out big time! haha
By the way, I've tagged you!
Check out this post for details.
I came across your blog the other day, and I've been enjoying reading it! I'm a Christian newlywed too, and it's always nice to find other like-minded people on here!
My family has always hunted, so I'm hunting again this year too - there's nothing quite like it, is there? It's a great time to pray and enjoy God's creation too.
Check out my blog if you want to!
