"Obedience and Honor."

1. We are to obey our parents.
Ephesians 6:1
CHILDREN, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

When parents tell their kids to do something, they say "yes sir" or "yes ma'am" and never do it. I have been guilty of this on several occasions. When parents tell you to do something the response is to get up and do it. When we obey we need to do it with a willing and joyful heart, not a hateful and spiteful heart. The results of obedience is in verse 3b. ...and thou mayest live long on the earth. So when you are obedient remember, that is years to your life.

2. We are to honor our parents.
Ephesians 6:2
Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

To honor your parents is to respect them. Respect is something that most of todays kids don't have toward their parents. You sometimes may not agree with your parents decisions, but you should still have respect for your parents.
So remember to always OBEY and HONOR your parents. If you are having trouble in those areas, just pray daily for help in those areas and you will find that it does get easier to do day by day.
