A Baby Bump Already!

Well, here it is...the baby bump! I did more research and found that I am probably 4 to 5 weeks along. I'm so excited! Pray that we will find that all is well with the baby when we go to the doctor tomorrow morning.

There is nothing more precious than knowing that you are nourishing a miracle within your body!

As cute as your little "baby bump" is, at five weeks, your baby is only about 1/8 of an inch in size, and your uterus hasn't begun to stretch yet, but I remember when I was first pregnant how excited I was to have a bump!

I loved the weekly emails that I signed up for from the Baby Center - each week I'd get a picture and an text explaining the size and development that was happening to my baby at that time. check this out: http://www.babycenter.com/fetal-development-images-5-weeks

Cute! Alot of people say they didn't start showing until month 5 or 6 but geez I was showing almost immediately! I hope everything goes well!

I can't wait to watch your belly grow. I know it's early but have you talked about baby names? Will you have a hospital birth or home birth.

ps..I'm new to this blog thing, but hope to have one up very soon.

If you are 4 weeks along (that means 4 weeks has passed since the very first day of your last cycle), then I would ask the doctor to do an ultrasound as soon as possible. A baby bump that big when the baby is so tiny you can't even see it yet on an ultrasound, could mean twins, or you are further along (some people still bleed after they are pregnant and that can really get the count off).

God bless your pregnancy and baby!

You look terrific, Kristina! I can't believe you're already showing!

If I may be so bold to ask, what was Joshua's reaction when you told him that a 'little stranger' is coming to stay? I'd love to know, if you don't mind sharing.

You, Joshua, and baby 'Jostina' (Or Krishua, I haven't decided yet ;)) are on my prayer list and always makes me smile. It feels so good to pray for something positive these days.

At four to five weeks your embryo is smaller than a grain of rice. Sorry, but you are nowhere near beginning to show.

It is so lame that people were leaving abusive comments on your blog.

I love reading your blog because you and I are in really similar points in our lives; I got married two months before you did.

I am so excited that you're expecting a baby! We have not yet been so blessed, but following your story will definitely take the edge off the wait for that blessing.

I've never posted here before but I've read your blog for quite a while, through your courtship subsequent marriage..so I sort of feel like I ' know' you- haha. Does that sound stalkerish? :-)

Anyway, congrats on the upcoming baby! My husband and I were married a whole 5 weeks before we found out we were expecting! It's a wild ride, but so incredibly worth it. Best wishes for a healthy and happy mama and baby!!

And I second the above comment..l-a-m-e that people leave nasty comments. Really..there's so much in the world to worry about..their energy would be much better spent elsewhere.

Are you sure you are only 4 weeks? At 4 weeks the baby is so small (about the size of a poppyseed) it may not even show up on an ultrasound. Very odd that you would be showing already

Hello!

Congrats on your pregnancy. Right now what you're seeing is bloat! Don't be worried or surprised if in a few weeks it goes away... that doesn't make you any less pregnant! In a few weeks it will come back as a true "baby bump" instead of bloat and stomach stuff being pushed around!

I had a little "bump" around 5-6 weeks also. My mom also showed early with some of her pregnancies.
