Pray for Tim Adkins
I am sorry that I have not put anything on here in a couple of days. Things here have been a little hectic. My Uncle Tim went to th hospital Tuesday night with pains in his chest. Come to find out he was on the verge of a heart attack. He is only 32, his father died of a heart attack at 48. So we are all worried. I am praying that this will get his attention and get him and his family in church. He has been saying that he was gonna be getting into church but has never made the effort. Please pray for him. He is having a Stress test done today and a echocarteogram.
I hope I spelled that right!!! Pray that they find out what is wrong with him. We believe he has a blockage. Pray for him, his name is Tim Adkins.

Gentleness
Gentleness- Kind; courteous; generous; patient and kindly.
God is all those thigns and more. Gentleness is something that every saved person should apply to their lives. There are three areas in which we can apply it.
1) Gentleness in our Attitude.
II Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
I don't know about y'all, but I am not always gentle with my attitude!! God wants us to show people that we are his child through our attitude. If you have a rough and harsh attitude, not to many people will believe that you are a Christian. We need to apply gentleness in our attitude.
2) Gentleness in our speech.
Titus 3:2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
We are to show genlteness in our speech. That is another area where teenagers have a problem. Jesus Christ was gentle with his speech. It does not matter what he said, it was always gentle.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
God's kindness just flows from that verse. If you will remember kindness was a definition of Gentleness. Be gentle with you speech, just as Christ was.
3) Gentleness in our relationship with christ.
II Samuel 22:36 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentlenss hath made me great.
God is so gentle towards us, he gave us the ability and opportunity to be gentle. So why not be gentle to him in return. Most people in churches act like they don't even care. God sent his son to die for us so that we could be saved, the LEAST we could do is be gentle in our relationship to him! Got extends his gentleness to us daily, why don't we do the same to him and others.
We need to be gentle,
1) in our attitude.
2) in our speech.
3) in our relationship with Christ.
I am praying that God would put that gift of Gentlenss in my life!! I pray that you would do the same.

Today I am gonna go to the post office to mail the letter for my verification that I am doing school so that I can get my learners next week. I am in the starting point of a cold that my brother gave to me. I am hoping that it does not go beyond a stuffy nose. There is nothing really in the plans for today. Other than watch my adorable little cousin Karlee! She is in my lap as I am typing this.Have you ever tried typing with a 6 month old child in your lap???It is very hard when the child knows how to type on it, and is trying her hardest to get to it!! That is pretty much all for today. Y'all have a good day ya hear!!!

Happy Labor Day!!
Hey everyone!! Today for Labor Day we are going to my Aunt and Uncles house for a cookout with the whole family! I am really looking forward to it. What are y'alls plans for Labor Day? We also plan on cleaning the house up a little bit. I wonder what we are gonna eat?? What is y'alls favorite holiday food?? Mine for this holiday would have to be Macaroni Salad. My mom makes her homemade, it is a sweeter version rather that than tart kind you buy at the store. IT IS WONDERFUL!!!! Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL day today!!

UPDATE
Well...we just got a call that my Uncle is okay!!! His house was completely untouched, but all around him was torn down and destroyed!!! He has no power, no water and no phone. He had to go and buy a cell phone to call my grandparents. We are so thankful that he is okay. He is able to buy food because the town next to him has power. So he is okay!!
Keeping Watch
We have been keeping watch of the things happening in New Orleans with the levee breaking. It is heart breaking to see all those people home less and the ones that have lost their kids or spouse. There are flood waters all over New Orleans from the levee breaking. People are on their roofs needing to be rescued. Some people are refusing to be rescued because they have seen the water go down a inch or two. Things there are horrible. We here in Georgia are runnng out of Gas, gas stations everywhere have bags over their pumps because a lot of people panicked about gas, we get out gas from New Orleans!!! We have still not heard anything from my Uncle Glen who live in Meridian MS, where the eye wall hit. So please pray fro him, he is lost!! The south is going through a lot of turmoil right now. That is the price we pay for messing with Israel. My Dad said some stuff last night at church that really makes you think. When gas prices go up then food goes up. So at the time of that happening you can't afford to go anywhere or eat. Then you have problems with people looting here because people are going hungry , and before you know it there will be Marshall law!! That is a scary thought!!! It is all in God's hands, all we can do is what to see what he is gonna do.
